CME Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Massachusetts Medical School Office of Continuing Medical Education (UMMS-OCME) and Berkshire Area Health Education Center, Inc. The UMMS-OCME is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education Credits or a Certificate of Attendance is provided upon request for the conference. Participants are expected to sign in and out, attend the entire program, and complete an evaluation. Certificates will be mailed to participants within six to eight weeks after the conference. Continuing Education Credits provided through Berkshire AHEC.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

LMHC: Berkshire AHEC is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and a cosponsor of this program. Berkshire AHEC may award NBCC-approved clock hours for program that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP maintains responsibility for the content of this event.

Nursing: This program meets the requirements for nursing contact hours as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing - 244 CMR 5.04.

Substance Abuse: Berkshire AHEC, provider #762, is an approved education provider of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC). Attendees earn continuing education credits for this course.

Social Work: Application for social work continuing education hours has been submitted to the Collaborative of NASW-MA Chapter.

Medical Assistants: This program has been submitted to the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for CEU review.

Psychology: Berkshire Area Health Education Center provides APA continuing education credits through an agreement with the Spiritual Competency Resource Center (SCRC), who is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The SCRC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Physical Therapists: This program meets the requirements for physical therapists and assistants as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals 259 CMR 5.00.

Rehabilitation Counselors: Application has been made to the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
